Foreword on Privacy & Terms of Use Policies
Dear Valued User,
Here at Trusted Pipeline, we feel it important for everyone to understand how
information about you is handled. We've spent a lot of time and effort to make
our "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" easy to understand. We have done
this because we sincerely want you to take the time to read these in order to
understand what we are about.
Privacy is a growing issue in the Internet community, and we want to make every
effort to provide a quality service to you while keeping your information
secure and private.
The trust of Internet users has been abused to the point that people often shy
away from any service that tracks their activity while using their website.
This is a common practice however, and is essential in keeping a website free
and full of quality content. We must use usage statistics to determine what
content deserves the most attention from us, and to show our sponsors that our
users have a real interest in their products or services. We will never release
an individuals perceived interests, only general statistics about our users.
Trusted Pipeline has absolutely no interest in tracking your private affairs,
and will not host content that may be deemed questionable or of an extremely
personal nature. While this is not the type of content we want anyway, we have
also found that this may put some people at ease. If we do not deal with
sensitive information, we can't possibly track it now can we?
Trusted Pipeline will also never use any usage statistics to send information to
you in email just because we think you might like it. You must request
information about a subject, product, or company be sent to you. You can change
your mind about what information you wish to receive at any time.
There is one exception to email. We reserve the right to send you notification
of changes in our terms of use and privacy policies. If we feel a change is
significant in that, we want to make sure you are aware of it. Most sites put
this responsibility on you, the user, to check their policies often for any
changes. We don't feel this to be a proper way to handle such a sensitive
subject. How many sites do you know that will say that?
Furthermore, we currently will not release your name or other personally
identifiable information to any third party unless we are legally required to
do so. If you wish to initiate direct contact with any third party, you must
take these actions yourself. In the future we may find that relaying this
information is desirable to our users, but if we implement such a system you
will be notified of this change and the only time your information is passed is
on a case by case basis where you specifically ask us to relay this information
for you.

Sincerely,
The Trusted Pipeline Staff
